  6. people will be turned into little more than cattle to serve the ruling class
  7. it will be beyond the wildest dreams of jose delgado
  8. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  9. lol, i dont think itll go to that level lol, i could just imagine a load of hackers just brapping anything like that if it was tried heh
  10. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  11. You recognize there are bad people in this world who want to enslave others, right?
  12. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  13. yeah, but there are also those who are willing to fight for their freedom
  14. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  15. sure
  16. lets say you live in a world where everyone is chipped because its convenient
  17. its fun
  18. everything is great
  19. the people willing to fight are chipped because whats the big deal
  20. you know how facebook manipulates peoples emotions through what the selectively show you on your feed?
  21. and thats on a site people voluntarily use
  22. through a simple visual interface
  23. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  24. you see in that instance, if there was no risk to someones independance from the chip, and had their own privacy over their data, then sure, but the reason to fight against it wouldnt be there, bc there is no risk to freedom, in that world
  25. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  26. unless the risk is simply not apparent
  27. if they have access to your brain, there is no way in which your "data" is secure
  28. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  29. gotta have faith in your fellow man tho, if theres any risk at all to that people wont buy it, then there would need to be protections in place before we all got chipped
  30. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  31. right
  32. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  33. hopefully we can take control of all our harvested data before that through international laws

  38. that will solve crippling disabilities etc.
  39. and provide endless entertainment and convenience
  40. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  41. well depends on what the chip runs on, if it runs off the electric pulses within you, then itll cease to work as you die
  42. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  43. haha
  44. shanty_sniper09/08/2020

  48. humans will exist, but not in any way like we currently do
  49. imagine what you could do if you had control of the brains of everyone on the planet
  50. shanty_sniper09/08/2020
  51. there will always be inheirant fears about new technology, with electricity there is the risk of getting electricuted, yet we are sorrounded by currents, and its made life pretty good for us humans, outside buildings or inside, even in the really rural parts of places you still see electricity poles or telephone poles
  52. so it all just depends really
  53. Mumberthrax09/08/2020
  54. see, i knew you would come around. We can get the chip and be catgirls together, shanty.

  339. I would think nazis would celebrate planned parenthood
  340. schererererer09/09/2020
  341. first off, 'baby' refers to post-birth individuals (the proper term here is 'fetus'); secondly murder is unlawful killing; thirdly the name is planned PARENThood, therefore if  no baby is born it can't be at PP

  365. well you know I'm kind of stupid as I'm told by a few folks here in this channel, so can you break that down a little for me?
  366. (also i don't consider being pro-abortion to be a liberal position)
  367. (since it denies the liberty of the child)
  368. schererererer09/09/2020
  369. Sure. The smugness is evident in tone and word selection. The implication is that "liberals/leftists/what-have-you" are self-contradictory in being 'pro-black' (whatever that means) and not also 'pro-birth-of-black-children'
  370. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  371. I think that would imply a sense of satisfaction though, wouldn't it?
  372. I feel disgust and contempt
  373. schererererer09/09/2020
  374. I'm pretty sure we've gone over the nuances of the abortion debate before, but I assume we've all forgotten so I'll go over t again in a minute
  375. Apogee09/09/2020
  376. Gentle reminder that trying to engage Mumber in conversation or debate is a waste of energy (at least in my mind). He's just gonna keep looking for technicalities to drag this out and make you feel bad.
  377. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  378. anyone who is for the killing of unborn children should feel bad, though I sadly will not always be able to make that happen
  379. schererererer09/09/2020
  380. Good thing I never feel bad and am a perfectly actualized being
  381. Apogee09/09/2020

  385. The abortion argument is firstly not a singular moral question under a single condition
  386. Mumberthrax09/09/2020

  394. Checkmate, mumber: perfectly actualized beings are by definition non-demonic
  395. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  396. hallucinate all you like, it doesn't change that you perpetuate an ideology that is manifestly anti-human and anti-liberty
  397. schererererer09/09/2020
  398. it's a tension between bodily autonomy at one end and the implicit human right to life at the other
  399. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  400. you don't get to kill babies
  401. and not get called a demon
  402. or hunted like one when civilization breaks down
  403. schererererer09/09/2020
  404. The moral question relies on 1. the limits of bodily autonomy and 2. what is a human being
  405. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  406. A "human being" is a member of the species homo sapiens.  While there is much debate over when a human organism becomes a "person," there is not much debate over when a human organism begins biologically: "Biologically speaking, fertilization (or conception) is the beginning of human development. Fertilization normally occurs within several hours of ovulation (some authors report up to 24 hours) when a man’s sperm, or spermatozoon, combines with a woman’s egg, or secondary oocyte, inside a woman’s uterine tube (usually in the outer third of the uterine tube called the ampulla)."
  407. schererererer09/09/2020
  408. You're getting dangerously close to advocating violence
  409. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  410. I wholly advocate the death penalty for people who perform abortions
  411. schererererer09/09/2020
  412. and personhood is what matters - a living corpse on life support with only a brain stem is "human" but doesn't have the same moral content that a person does - brain development matters
  413. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  414. Many pro-choicers concede that unborn children are human beings, but deny that the fetus is a "person" deserving of full human rights.  Their views of what else is necessary to achieve personhood vary widely.  Some of the more common positions are that to be a "person," a human being must also:
  415.
  416.     - Have a heartbeat (which begins at 3-4 weeks gestation)
  417.
  418.     - Produce brain waves (which begins at 6-7 weeks gestation)
  419.
  420.     - Be "viable," that is, capable of living outside the womb (which varies; typically around 24 weeks,
  421.     but as early as 22 weeks with modern medical care)
  422.
  423.     - Be conscious or self-aware (which begins sometime after birth)
  424.
  425.     - Be born
  426. schererererer09/09/2020
  427. likewise a sperm cell having just made contact with an egg does not have the same moral value as a newborn
  428. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  429. Secular pro-lifers find these personhood restrictions aribtrary and inconsistent.  Many of the proposed
  430. criteria would, if applied consistently, deny the personhood of newborns, people with disabilities, and
  431. other vulnerable groups.
  432. I'm still puzzling on why a nazi would want to save black babies.
  433. Maybe the nazis hate women more than they hate black people
  434. So they figure its a small price to pay to have a rapidly expanding minority population
  435. if it means that left wingers who are not minorities also stop killing their children
  436. schererererer09/09/2020
  437. Heartbeat, viability, ability to feel pain, conception, and birth are bad proxies for personhood. Brain activity and development is a sliding scale with the particular inflection point of interest at the beginning of the third trimester for development of brain capacity that isn't purely autonomous or sensorimotor in nature
  438. Mumberthrax09/09/2020

  443. stop fucking lying
  444. schererererer09/09/2020
  445. brain stem / cerebellum / cerebrum
  446. and we're done here, since you can't be civil
  447. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  448. because you're lying, trying to justify killing the most innocent among us in doing so
  449. Fazaden09/09/2020
  450. Is that how all of these debates have to end? with "you're lying"?
  451. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  452. if you people would stop lying, then maybe!
  453. brain activity begins at 6-7 weeks
  454. Fazaden09/09/2020
  455. Getting into the specifics of child development kinda misses the point, anyway: that as long as there are unwanted pregnancies, there will unfortunately be abortions
  456. All of the bans in the world won't change that, no matter how we may want to close our eyes and pretend that they won't happen anymore
  457. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  458. before a ban, there is cultural agreement
  459. Fazaden09/09/2020
  460. One thing I do agree with from the SPL site is the encouragement of contraception and proper education (aka, not abstinence-only)
  461. That's how you cut down on abortions: by making them utterly unnecessary in the first place
  462. schererererer09/09/2020
  463. true fazaden, those who are actually anti-abortion rather than just pro-punishing-abortion should invest heavily in artificial wombs and other natal health interventions, especially given the high rates of spontaneous abortion that happen
  464. robr09/09/2020
  465. or you could just hold an asprin between your legs scherer. checkmate.
  466. and yes /s if that isn't painfully obvious
  467. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  468. Maybe we can talk about something that doesn't remind me of how utterly foul and monstrous you guys are.
  469. like nazis
  470. "fewer" ha ha
  471. apogee never did tell me why a nazi is trying to stop black babies from being killed
  472. Fazaden09/09/2020
  473. So what's your solution? Bombing abortion clinics? Murdering doctors? Shaming people for things that aren't always their fault?
  474. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  475. as I said, culture precedes any legal statute. my ideal solution is for everyone who is pro-abortion to recognize that they have been advocating for murder - as I did years ago. barring that, I think mass genocide of all pro-abortion people is reasonable
  476. Fazaden09/09/2020
  477. " I think mass genocide of all pro-abortion people is reasonable"
  478. Well damn, that's the quote of the week right there
  479. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  480. xD
  481. Fazaden09/09/2020
  482. In the event that you're serious, and not a poor attempt at edgy humor, please look up past attempts at doing just that, and see how those killers ended up
  483. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  484. You mean the firebombed clinics?
  485. the ones that lefties point to as evidence of right wing terrorism all the time?
  486. Fazaden09/09/2020
  487. Partly, yes
  488. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  489. Fazaden, we're in an age where your people are clamoring to be injected with substances they have no idea of what they are.
  490. Fazaden09/09/2020
  491. My people? please do go on
  492. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  493. the political left, anti-trump, etc. etc.
  494. whatever you want to call your side of this political divide
  495. Fazaden09/09/2020
  496. and these substances? please elaborate
  497. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  498. the side which advocates for abortion
  499. Fazaden09/09/2020
  500. Nonono, we're on injections now
  501. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  502. yeah the vaccines we discussed earlier
  503. you guys are gung-ho for vaccines
  504. Fazaden09/09/2020
  505. Which ones? My entire point earlier was that I wasnt exactly holding out hope for any vaccine in the near future
  506. But the ones that have been around for decades? Yeah,I trust those
  507. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  508. if people were serious about genocide, about fascism etc. etc. there is no need for firebombs
  509. Socarch09/09/2020
  510. there is a lot to unpack here
  511. though it is telling that Mumber unironically posted stonetoss
  512. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  513. and I'll do it again
  514. next time i see a funny one
  515. I wasnt serious about genocide, btw fazaden.
  516. I thought it was an obvious joke
  517. but shrug
  518. Socarch09/09/2020
  519. well yeah
  520. Fazaden09/09/2020
  521. I was hoping so, but you never know these days
  522. Socarch09/09/2020
  523. you posted stonetoss
  524. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  525. yeah omg a comic protesting abortion, how fascistic!
  526. I can't believe someone would do that
  527. Fazaden09/09/2020
  528. But back to the whole "injecting substances" bit, I'd like to dig deeper
  529. You brought it up, and I'd like to get a sense of your understanding of how vaccines work
  530. Socarch09/09/2020
  531. i'm more talking about how he is a holocaust denier but ya know don't let my jewish ass derail the thread
  532. Fazaden09/09/2020
  533. At the most basic level, all they are is a weak form of a disease to help people defend against the real deal
  534. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  535. you go to a clinic or whatever, nurse says "you ready?" and you hold out your arm, she sticks you with a needle of liquid you have never seen before
  536. Fazaden09/09/2020
  537. Along with some stabilizers
  538. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  539. you don't really know where that vaccine came from
  540. Fazaden09/09/2020
  541. And? I know that once the antivaxx movement got traction, measles cases skyrocketed
  542. kids started getting shit like whooping cough again
  543. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  544. so if someone really wanted to kill lots of people on the left, it wouldn't require firebombs
  545. schererererer09/09/2020
  546. @Socarch I was about to give your reply a topical gold star of approval then realized that could be taken poorly
  547. Fazaden09/09/2020
  548. Do apply that "unknown substance" logic to everything you eat and drink?
  549. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  550. bahahahaha
  551. Socarch09/09/2020
  552. LOLOL
  553. Fazaden09/09/2020
  554. When you get sick and go to the doctor, and they prescribe you a pill that you've never taken before, that's an unknown substance to you
  555. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  556. sure, we live in an age of dangerous technologies and poisons like fentanyl that kill people with miniscule amounts
  557. if someone wanted to kill a lot of people, as long as they had a proper list, it wouldn't be noisy
  558. Fazaden09/09/2020
  559. They're not exactly putting fentanyl in vaccines
  560. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  561. no shit
  562. maybe you think I'm saying vaccines right now are killing people or something? idk what your point is
  563. Fazaden09/09/2020
  564. You are suggesting that the left will accept new vaccines without question, as if they're all one big monolith
  565. It implies that you are skeptical of vaccines in general
  566. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  567. I can see how you might make that inference
  568. schererererer09/09/2020
  569. honestly, it's the general public (ceeentristsss) that just do what their doctors tell them to do
  570. Fazaden09/09/2020
  571. It's not unreasonable given past discussions we've had, but to address your main point, any discussion of a covid vaccine isn't very productive until a purported vaccine actually comes out
  572. You can't really say who will jump on it and who will wait
  573. Will the antivaxx crowd accept it if their chosen politician endorses it? Will they reject it? The correct answer is: nobody knows until it actually happens
  574. Anything else is just projection and assumptions
  575. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  576. Have you ever heard of a place called Tuskeegee?
  577. Fazaden09/09/2020
  578. Yes, and the experiments they did there were really shitty
  579. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  580. right
  581. infecting people with syphilis
  582. Fazaden09/09/2020
  583. But if you're trying to equate that to modern vaccines like MMR, diptheria, and all that, you're preaching to the wrong crowd
  584. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  585. nono, thats not what I'm saying at all
  586. Fazaden09/09/2020
  587. Then please elaborate
  588. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  589. The principle is that if there was an intent to harm large numbers of people, or to experiment on them as in the case of tuskeegee, there's precedent for it, and for getting away with it
  590. Fazaden09/09/2020
  591. And? There's precedent for all kinds of heinous government acts, but that doesnt mean they'll always happen
  592. Usually it's a whole new set of heinous shit
  593. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  594. It's really kind of a shame that tuskeegee is more often associated with those experiments than with Booker T. Washington, but thats another topic
  595. Fazaden09/09/2020
  596. The first thing that usually comes to mind for me are the Tuskeegee Airmen
  597. Apogee09/09/2020
  598. Don't tell Mumber you're Jewish, Socarch. He once said that he thinks Jews are sneaky. (That second part is not a joke)
  599. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  600. hahaha
  601. apogee, were you taking everything said on that server seriously?
  602. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  603. torteela09/09/2020
  604. you missed mumber being a twat, nothing unusual
  605. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  606. well shanty, apparently nazis don't want black babies to die
  607. Apogee09/09/2020
  608. And he got real mad when I said that seemed anti-Semitic.
  609. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  610. well i see the convo has developed lmao

  614. to be ideologically consistent I also assume you're against in vitro fertilization?
  615. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  616. what like for lesbians?
  617. ;D
  618. torteela09/09/2020
  619. that doesn't answer the question
  620. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  621. I am opposed to lesbians raising children so yes. next question.
  622. torteela09/09/2020
  623. how about for straight couples
  624. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  625. if god made you sterile thats the way you stay
  626. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  627. so we have gotten from trump and BLM, to nazis opinions on black babies, im half awake and ngl, this is unexpected
  628. Apogee09/09/2020
  629. Honestly, I trust lesbians more than anyone to raise kids.
  630. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  631. for serious though, i don't understand the issue with ivf
  632. Apogee09/09/2020
  633. Especially if they have a lanyard.
  634. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  635. whats the problem with it?
  636. and btw, I think lesbian and gay couples should adopt
  637. torteela09/09/2020
  638. that's the quote i'm sticking with
  639.
  640. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  641. hahaha
  642. schererererer09/09/2020
  643. adopt but not raise children
  644. lol
  645. torteela09/09/2020
  646. anyways, IVF creates millions of embryos, most of which are discarded or don't implant
  647. which, by your definition, is killing babies
  648. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  649. huh interesting
  650. torteela09/09/2020
  651. literal genocide
  652. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  653. will have to look into this then
  654. I had just assumed it was sticking a sperm into an egg and sticking it in there
  655. torteela09/09/2020
  656. well, there's no looking into it. if an embryo is a person you are against IVF
  657. there's nothing else to it really
  658. Fazaden09/09/2020
  659. That is the basics of it, it just has a low success rate
  660. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  661. forgive me if I don't just accept what a monster tells me on discord
  662. torteela09/09/2020
  663. a monster who hates gay people?
  664.
  665. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  666. i didn't know you hated gay people
  667. i thought you just hated babies
  668. Fazaden09/09/2020
  669. Ok, I think this is a good stopping point for the night
  670. torteela09/09/2020
  671. “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”
  672. @Mumberthrax
  673. that's about you, though maybe not as an antisemite
  674. schererererer09/09/2020
  675. inb4 how dare you call me an antisemite

  855. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  856. you see there was 2 factions post leave campaign on the leave side, hard brexit and soft brexit, and a lot of the high up torys in cabinet positions, including boris himself was in the leave campaign, and they are the faction that would of sided with a harder brexit over a softer one
  857. harder Brexit is wanted by this cabinet, thats clear, they just know they cant be the ones seen walking away from negotiations, better to make it as difficult for the EU as possible and force them to close the negotiations so they can raide their hands and say this was not our fault
  858. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  859. when it comes to america, for some reason some of the english (usually the torys and snoots) forget how strong ties are still to this day, as well as the US being a co guarantor of the GFA, which is a bilateral international agreement, plus right now with the US elections coming up, the irish american base is 30+ mil and those can translate into votes, plus itll get biden respect from irish americans within the GOP, im guessing Boris is hoping to hell that trump wins the elections
  860. tobylane09/09/2020
  861. Johnson and a lot of other well known people were on the fence and landed on the side that would boost their popularity. As Cameron was Remain, being a Leaver was the way to get attention. Johnson wrote one of his weekly articles for both sides to help him decide which way he was, he submitted the Leave one
  862. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  863. Even at that, he still created a cabinet with a lot of erg influence, the leader of the house atm is Jacob rees mogg, the modern poster boy of the erg, erg are basically the hardliners, and Boris is following the same yellow brick road
  864. shanty_sniper09/09/2020
  865. Boris was always able to garner charasmatic attention, however his popularity did take a hit over the journalist iran fiasco, and i do agree some would have been on leave for popularity boosting in their own image, but there were also those in the leave campaign who were always euro sceptical from within the tory party and outside of it

  868. Submission statement: I found this on the internet. It appears to be a twitter post by someone calling themselves a Neoliberal Rat Goddess. It asserts that banning incest because of birth defects is eugenics. It is bizarre to me, but I wonder - is it accurate? What motivates such a statement to be made? Is it someone just trying to be technically correct, or is this someone who has motivation to defend incest? I have not yet looked up the account or the post to see if it is real.
  869. Eugenics definitely is practiced, has been practiced many times throughout history. I tend to believe it technically does alter the makeup of a group - inherited traits and mutations do appear to be real.
  870. And my understanding is that incest, anything nearer than like 3rd cousins or something around there iirc, does statistically produce illness, deformities, disease, etc.
  871. What is the motivation behind the taboos around incest? Beyond those edicts handed down from supernatural authorities or their figureheads in human institutions, is it functionally just about eugenics?
  872. Fazaden09/09/2020
  873. An analogous statement would be something like "harvesting/replanting seeds from the most productive crops is literally genetic engineering"
  874. A true statement, but doesnt contribute much to the discourse on its own
  875. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  876. What does "contribution to discourse" look like?
  877. Fazaden09/09/2020

  879. If you've got a point you want to make about incest or eugenics, I'm all ears, but I seriously doubt the original tweeter was defending incest
  880. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  881. She clearly is stating that it is eugenics. My assumption is that she is opposed to eugenics, so I infer disapproval of opposition to incest on that basis - but like I said I haven't looked up the account.
  882. If she did not oppose eugenics, that definitely would put a whole different spin on the vibe of the tweet I guess.

  945. That style of sarcasm. I hate when other people do it to you, and when you do it to other people
  946. Abortion is probably the single messiest political issue out there, which is why it's so effective as a wedge issue to divide people
  947. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  948. It's not messy, imo. You either oppose it, or you are one of several differently opinions groups on when it's ok and why.
  949. opinioned*
  950. Fazaden09/09/2020
  951. Messy in terms of how strongly people feel about it, but that's not my main point
  952. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  953. The people who oppose it are simply unwilling to change their opinions once they enter that camp
  954. So for them, it definitely is a hard out
  955. Fazaden09/09/2020
  956. My point is that it's bad form to make assumptions (and snarky scarcastic remarks) about the beliefs of others.
  957. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  958. I think that tends to frustrate their opponents
  959. Which assumptions have been made? You and several others in this channel have been vocal about your stances on the topic
  960. GM GK09/09/2020
  961. The large number of people who are against abortion are against it for religious reasons.  The problem is that in making that their single-issue, they completely ignore literally every single other thing in their faith.

  985. GM GK09/09/2020
  986. Feeling strongly about something is one thing.  Ignoring Rule 1 to try to convey that isn't.  Angry ranting about a topic does not sway others to your side.  If you're not trying to sway others to your side, then why are you still talking?
  987. Narissis09/09/2020
  988. Yes, people do tend to take more offense at the agent provocateur than at the provoked. Funny that.

  992. Fazaden09/09/2020

1001. I am serious. you heard about that surely?
1002. I forget which celebrity it was who tweeted it
1003. People genuinely believe that conservatives, the GOP, operatives of the white house, etc. are stealing mail trucks and removing post office drop boxes to try to stifle mail-in voting.
1004. The funny thing is, mail is being destroyed by postal workers
1005. So its one of those weird things
1006. where both sides have part of the picture
  1007. Fazaden09/09/2020
1008. Both things can happen at the same time, mumber. This isn't a zero-sum game here

1013. Do you have any issues with the dismantling of mail sorting machines?
1014. Any problems with the increasing delays in mail?
  1015. Narissis09/09/2020
1016. Also, I don't think anyone is arguing that the president and his staff are personally going around unbolting mailboxes. But they sure did insert a loyalist postmaster general who's making changes on multiple fronts that are baffling and serve no other purpose but delaying mail, and which many postal workers are pointing out as such.

1052. Stalling the mail like DeJoy is doing hurts both kind of ballots
  1053. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1054. Yes fraud is possible for absentee ballots absolutely, and it has happened in the past
1055. and absentee ballots are still less susceptible than the mass-delivered mail-in ballots being done now
1056. for an absentee ballot, you have to request it for example
1057. for the current slapshod mail-in voting being done many places, ballots are just being sent out
  1058. Fazaden09/09/2020
1059. And in your mind, who are these mass-delivered ballots being sent to? Everyone with a mailbox? Registered voters? People that are eligible to register?
  1060. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1061. theoretically and ideally, one is sent to every eligible voter's registered address
  1062. Fazaden09/09/2020
1063. Do you feel like that is currently not happening in practice?
  1064. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1065. That does not appear to be what is happening in practice, no. I know several people who have received as many as five ballots in the mail. One family has received a ballot for their deceased cat.
  1066. Fazaden09/09/2020
1067. And do you think those votes would actually get counted if they were all sent in?
  1068. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1069. It would depend on who is doing the counting
1070. and who is delivering them
  1071. Fazaden09/09/2020
1072. By now, you've seen the story about the supposed 1000 or so people in GA who allegedly tried to vote twice
  1073. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1074. I have not, and I am not surprised
  1075. robr09/09/2020
1076. the fact it was caught shows the system works.
  1077. Fazaden09/09/2020
1078. The key word is "tried". For the most part, election officials are good at catching that kind of thing
  1079. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1080. lol
1081. You ought to read that nypost article
  1082. if you haven't already
1083. Regardless, however this election goes - barring an unmistakeable landslide for President Trump, at least one side is going to claim fraud.
  1084. Fazaden09/09/2020
1085. I've read the article before, yes, and others like it
  1086. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1087. We've seen so far that the political left is more than willing to employ mob violence when things are not going their way. The question is would MAGA people be willing to do the same?
  1088. Fazaden09/09/2020
1089. There was a guy in North Carolina who pulled similar stunts
1090. Where they'd collect ballots from people under the guise of being helpful, and fuck with them
  1091. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1092. Right. So the idea that you came across an instance where individuals trying to vote twice were caught, it means nothing compared to the times you haven't heard about
  1093. where nobody was caught
1094. it doesn't mean the system is working as we the public would intend
  1095. Fazaden09/09/2020
1096. Or all the times where people were illegally prevented from voting in the first place
  1097. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1098. This is why I say the only case where cries of fraud will be minimal would be if the God Emperor wins in a massive landslide
  1099. Fazaden09/09/2020
1100. We've already seen claims of fraud in the past, like the whole "busses of illegals" comment that made the rounds in 2016
1101. In your personal opinion, what do you think would happen if it went the other way around? If Biden won by 10% or more?

  1107. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1108. I do not know. I think it would depend on what narrative appears to be credible in the political right at the time.
1109. As you know, conservatives tend to be of a disposition to adhere to whatever the rules are
  1110. Fazaden09/09/2020
1111. See, I can't say that I agree with that
1112. At least, not for conservative politicians
  1113. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1114. We've seen, for instance how the cries about gay marriage have simply disappeared after the supreme court ruled on it
1115. I am talking about conservatives as people
  1116. they are largely passive
  1117. however
  1118. Fazaden09/09/2020
1119. I don't see conservatives as a monolithic entity, no overarching political group is
  1120. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1121. conservatives are no longer the only faction on the political right
  1122. Fazaden09/09/2020
1123. They're certainly not the loudest
  1124. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1125. Especially with all of the moderates and independents, and even some democrats, who have joined with the MAGA populist movement, not to mention the nationalists and real radicals, not all of these people may be accustomed to the normal conservative pattern of fussing against something and then inevitably compromising
1126. and too, many conservatives are more energized than in the past
1127. many old neocons are losing influence
  1128. so it really depends
  1129. Fazaden09/09/2020
1130. And? democratic turnout has been pretty similarly energized, especially when you compare 2016 and 2018
  1131. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1132. ok
  1133. Fazaden09/09/2020
1134. The actual election results aren't really something we can theorize about yet, too much can happen between now and November
  1135. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1136. you asked what i thought would happen
  1137. i said i don't know
  1138. Fazaden09/09/2020
  1139. Fair enough.
  1140. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1141. i mentioned several elements that make it hard to predict
  1142. Fazaden09/09/2020
1143. My main worry is that if Biden does win, that Trump tries to decide that the election doesnt count.
1144. Not to say that he'll actually try that, but he's made quite a few worrying statements
1145. Like the whole "And then after that, we'll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years."
  1146. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1147. Considering how much the political left has demonized the populists, I can definitely see a possibility that it would not be peaceful.
1148. a lot of people are unhappy.
  1149. flyover states
  1150. basket of deplorables
  1151. torteela09/09/2020
1152. Not a good look, 190,000 people dying so far because trump thought he would look bad. That's 47,500 Benghazis. Some choice quotes:
  1153.
1154. “You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed,” Trump said in a Feb. 7 call. “And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flu.”
  1155.
1156. “This is deadly stuff,” the president repeated for emphasis.

  1164. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1165. This is old news
  1166. GM GK09/09/2020
  1167. It's current news.
  1168. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1169. he already said months ago that he tried to prevent panic by downplaying things
1170. all that is new is this recording
  1171. Fazaden09/09/2020
1172. If violence does happen, I don't think it would happen for the same reasons that you do
  1173. torteela09/09/2020
1174. It's old news that trump is responsible for 47,500 Benghazis?
  1175. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1176. what reasons do I think would cause violence, fazaden?
  1177. Fazaden09/09/2020
  1178. Biden losing
1179. At least, that's what you've implied, please do correct me if I'm wrong
  1180. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1181. no, I'm saying that its possible that if it appears to the populists that the election was cheated in favor of biden, depending on the narrative and the apparent intel, or appearances of censorship, you may well see the political right stop restraining itself like it has been.
  1182. torteela09/09/2020
1183. By stop restraining itself you mean they'll murder people
1184. You're advocating for murder, yes?
  1185. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1186. saying that something might happen doesn't mean that it will, or that I am advocating for it, torteela. I'm sorry you didn't process that.
  1187. torteela09/09/2020
1188. "I'm not advocating for it, i just agree with everything they agree with"
  1189. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1190. no, and that is exactly the sort of thing that you will get a mild critique for from fazaden without anything like the tone policing I receive.
1191. I understand that the prospect is scary
1192. it doesn't mean that we want it
  1193. torteela09/09/2020
1194. But you will do it if you think you've been slighted? That's the implication from that statement
  1195. Fazaden09/09/2020
1196. Violence typically doesn't just spontaneously erupt, it takes time
  1197. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1198. who is "you"?
  1199. torteela09/09/2020
1200. You're a trump supporter, on the political right in this country
  1201. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1202. yes
1203. though I tend to favor some of the values and ideas normally relegated to the political left
  1204. torteela09/09/2020
1205. no, I'm saying that its possible that if it appears to the populists that the election was cheated in favor of biden, depending on the narrative and the apparent intel, or appearances of censorship, you may well see the political right stop restraining itself like it has been.
  1206. @Mumberthrax
1207. so that's you, yes? are you personally going to participate in the violence you're predicting?
  1208. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1209. I don't have any plans to go storm the capitol if that's what you're asking. I will adequately defend myself and my family though if order breaks down and your people threaten them.
  1210. torteela09/09/2020
1211. Do you disavow and condemn any potential violence that results from the election, no matter the side?
  1212. I do
  1213. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1214. no actually now that I think about it
  1215. Fazaden09/09/2020
  1216. ditto
  1217. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1218. if order breaks down
  1219. Fazaden09/09/2020
  1220. ........if
  1221. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1222. I fully condone the hunting of pedophiles
1223. by roving militias and trained killers
  1224. GM GK09/09/2020
1225. Without the judicial system getting in the way?
  1226. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1227. this would be in the instance where the judicial system has lost all credibility/function
1228. We're talking about a case where the government, apart from very local, ceases to function
1229. So if there are any pedos hanging out on this server for a kids game reading this, you had better do your best to not let things fall apart.
  1230. torteela09/09/2020
1231. That's not what anyone was talking about, no
  1232. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1233. you are mistaken
1234. because that is what i was talking about
  1235. torteela09/09/2020
  1236. *anyone but you
  1237. Fazaden09/09/2020
1238. And I'd love a 90% tax on income above a few hundred million, but lets try to get back to present-day issues
  1239. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1240. the question was what would happen if biden wins, and the populists reject the result
1241. the possibility is that in that case, depending on what the narrative on the right is, things could go far worse than you might imagine
  1242. Narissis09/09/2020
1243. "I've decided that this person is a pedophile based on fringe conspiracy theories ungrounded in reality, time to execute them in cold blood!"
1244. Yeah, nothing wrong with that.
  1245. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1246. Narissis, do you believe pedophiles exist?
  1247. or human trafficking
  1248. Fazaden09/09/2020
1249. Militias are trouble enough as it is , no need to give them any kind of real power
  1250. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1251. you don't understand, fazaden. in the case where the government ceases to function, right wing death squads will be the people you want on your side.
  1252. torteela09/09/2020
1253. It's a Q/extremist tactic, to say they want to kill pedophiles/child traffickers, then call their enemies those things, and if you ask for any kind of proof or due process they say you're also those things
1254. he's not interested in real discussion
  1255. GM GK09/09/2020
  1256. Very witch hunt.
  1257. Fazaden09/09/2020
1258. Hell to the no, I dont trust anyone who thinks they can take the law into their own hands and control who lives and who dies
  1259. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1260. more personal attacks lacking substance, and nothing more than a light chastisement will be delivered - if at all
  1261. but thats ok
  1262. torteela09/09/2020
1263. I wasn't wrong, and if you felt that was a personal attack that's on you
  1264. Narissis09/09/2020
1265. "You don't buy into the thoroughly debunked Pizzagate conspiracy theory that there is a pedophile ring in the highest echelons of the political left, therefore you must be arguing that pedophiles don't exist." Perfect logic. Flawless.
  1266. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1267. Who is it that you believe i was referring to when I said that I condone the hunting and execution of pedophiles in the event that government ceases to function?
  1268. torteela09/09/2020
1269. As I said yesterday and as mumber ignored, pizzagate is harmful to rescuing actual victims of child trafficking. The Q movement doesn't care about children, it cares about itself. Just like Trump
1270. Anyone your movement doesn't like and will therefore claim is a pedophile
  1271. robr09/09/2020
1272. oh we've moved on to the purge now?
  1273. Fazaden09/09/2020
1274. We're getting too into the weeds here guys, let's start getting away from hypotheticals
  1275. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1276. that was the question fazaden posed
1277. what might happen if biden won by 10%
  1278. Fazaden09/09/2020
1279. Yes, I asked, you answered, and people started piling on. Let's move on
  1280. Narissis09/09/2020
1281. We were talking about political left vs. political right and you brought up pedophiles unprompted. The implication was extremely obvious and you're being intellectually dishonest by trying to play innocent.
  1282. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1283. I predict though that it wouldn't be anything like 10%
1284. no, i was asked if i disavowed any violence that might happen
1285. and given we were talking about all the possible results
1286. one of which was a complete breakdown of government
1287. I said, and I stand by, that I fully condone the hunting down and execution of pedophiles.
  1288. in that instance.
1289. I don't know why you want to call me intellectually dishonest instead of actually reading the conversation.
  1290. torteela09/09/2020
1291. So you don't actually care about 'law and order' or 'the rule of law'?
  1292. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1293. I'm sorry you're having a hard time reading torteela
1294. We are talking about a case where the justice system lacks any credibility or functionality
  1295. torteela09/09/2020
1296. *Where you claim it lacks that credibility.
  1297. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1298. as has been said multiple times
  1299. torteela09/09/2020
1300. Anyways, sorry faz, we can move on
  1301. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1302. it is purely a hypothetical situation, again
  1303. torteela09/09/2020
  1304. I'm just disturbed
  1305. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
  1306. you should be
  1307. Fazaden09/09/2020
1308. Yes, let's get back to the original topic: mail fraud and the post office
1309. Do you see any truth to the narrative that slowing down the mail is an attempt to influence the election?
  1310. torteela09/09/2020
1311. My hot take: No republican really cares about election security because electronic voting with no paper trail is more insecure than anything, and they don't care about that
  1312. Fazaden09/09/2020
1313. Personally, i think it's pretty damn likely. It's definitely suspicious given the Postmaster General's political leanings, as well as a few on the board
  1314. Mumberthrax09/09/2020
1315. Its certainly true that few republicans, or any politician for that matter, are talking about the inherent risks and failures of electronic voting.

1560. "IMHO there’s a fine line between being a political comedian and a political “comedian”. Most comedians that I enjoy won’t hesitate to get political but it’s never their whole act."
  1561.
1562. Comment that generally describes where I am, haha.
1563. Even in normal conversation, it's difficult to stay completely out of politics while having a meaningful conversation...but it isn't everything. There are plenty of other things that give life meaning.
1564. Same applied to religion when I lived in the south (US), though religion rarely ever comes up at all now that I live in the west.
  1565.
1566. Comedy is most enjoyable when it's relatable. I've moved around a lot, had a variety of experiences, known a variety of people...so I like comedy covering a variety of things; never too much of any one subject, or one comedian for that matter.
  1567.
1568. I mention this because I genuinely wonder about the opposite end of the spectrum. To someone with a less varied life, for instance some of the people back home who would seemingly obsess over nothing but how much they hated certain groups, political affiliations, other religions, public figures...
1569. Comedians, politicians, anchors, ect who do the same thing are probably just as satisfying to them, because they would be relatable.

1667. that is true, however peace accords that the US made itself one of the 3 co guarantor must be respected, and when the torys are willing to break international law and effectivly scrap that peace accord, its always nice for the co guarentors to apply pressure to protect that accord

1701. I could keep going, but a quick google search would show plenty more articles of Trump consistently downplaying the threat of covid and failing to take action on it.

1710. Ehhhhh, I don't know how I feel about calling Assange a journalist. While I do appreciate the original mission of Wikileaks and thank him for things like Collateral Murder, it's pretty obvious at some point he was either compromised by Russia or decided to work with them
1711. He's the one that pushed the Seth Rich murder conspiracy theory into the mainstream, lying that Seth was the source of the leaked emails even though he knew it was Russia. Even if he didn't know it was Russia (which he did), the leaker transferred the emails 4 days after Seth was murdered, and he continued to talk to the leaker after Seth's murder
1712. I don't think he should be charged with espionage for the Afghanistan War leaks or extradited, I just think calling him a journalist is not the right choice of word. He probably should be charged for working with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election if there are statues he could be charged under for that.

1716. More details of Roger Stone’s interactions with WikiLeaks and Paul Manafort’s Russian ties don’t look great for the Trump campaign.
  1717.
1718. Here's Roger Stone telling Jerome Corsi to get Assange to drop the Podesta emails to counter the Access Hollywood tape that was about to come out. So that's Trump Campaign -> Assange -> Russia
1719. Either Trump was working with Russia or he's an idiot who has no idea what anyone around him is doing. I'm not sure which is worse.
